Loser Like Me - Glee Cast
Go ahead and judge me, I can take it, but yes I was a big fan of the TV show Glee. Yes, sometimes the storylines were hokey, yes, several of the characters got REALLY annoying, but throughout its 7 season run, the musical performances stayed pretty top notch and sometimes a cover on Glee would lead me to the real artists that before then had not crossed my radar. To this day, those artists, and yes some of the covers, I still enjoy regular listening to in many of my playlists.
But where Glee really nailed it, was in the episodes where they had original music. The first episode they attempted this, was aptly named “Original Song” and aired in March of 2011. There were actually two original songs in the episode, but this one was an immediate favorite. The title might be a little deceptive, because it is really happy little song that still to this day makes me smile, sometimes laugh, and if I momentarily forget that I can’t dance, I might even dance a little. It is a perfect fit for this day’s entry, especially when they sing “ I’ll see you when you wash my car!”. So go ahead and judge me for choosing a song from Glee, but deep down I know “You wanna be, you wanna be, a loser like me!”
